Nothing like a fresh start. Maybe we should have a New Year twice a year.
I kept my writing goals for 2008 simple:
1. Dig deeper. Experiment. Get closer to the vision.
2. Enjoy the moment.
That's it. There are lots of other things that I have to do, like finish my current manuscript, get a good start on another, prepare for conferences, visits, signings etc., They aren't goals. They must be done. But these two goals are what I hope for in my writing. To be brave, experiment, try new things, and enjoy the process. That is not always easy to do!
It's going to be a busy year for me. I will have a new book out (yay!) Another one in editorial. And another one in the beginning stages. Not to mention a fair amount of travel sprinkled in between. Balance, routine--and flexibility--will be essential for me in '08. I hope my travels will bring me somewhere near YOU this year.
